Visualization is an interdisciplinary imaging science devoted to make the invisible visible through the techniques of experimental visualization and computer-aided visualization. To expand our knowledge of visualization techniques and exchange the visualized results within the Asian research community, a platform, the Asian Symposium on Visualization (ASV), was inaugurated in Beijing (China) in 1988. This was followed by the 2nd symposium held in Hangzhou (China, 1992). The 3rd symposium changed the name to ASV and was held in Chiba (Japan, 1994). The 4th symposium was again in Beijing (China, 1996), the 5th in Bali (Indonesia, 1999), the 6th in Pusan (Korea, 2001), the 7th in Singapore (Singapore, 2003), the 8th in Chiangmai (Thailand, 2005) and the 9th in Hong Kong (China, 2007).
The scope of this conference is to provide a platform to exchange information on the latest visualization methods and its application.
